2009 was a great year for Crazzycool. I think we have came a long way during the 2009 and manage to bring so many hacks tricks and free things really worth having. First of all big thank should go to all the crazzycool fans for their comments ideas and all the support.
During the year 2009 we tried couple of new things addition to computer and internet hacks. We gave out free advertising to help promoting products and softwares and reviewed them. But my favorite is giving out free license key to crazzycool fans to try them out. In 2010 we are planning to organize more and more give aways. So stay tune to crazzycool.
If you have crazzy cool ideas or comments please share with us and we would like to try them out. Again we will thank everyone who supported us and all the crazzycool fans for staying with us. Wish you a happy new years.

Demonoid.com is back
Crazzy cools most favorite torrent site is back up again after a System crash that left Demonoid.com down for almost 6 months.
My biggest fear was that my account must have been deleted as Demonoid had informed on their page. I would not have been too happy about it given all the trouble I had to go through to get an invite to demonoid. For people who do not know, demonoid is invite only torrent site which helps alot in keep the junk posters out and quality of seeders is by far the best then any other torrent.
But my fear didn't come true and I still have an active Demonoid account with practically no data loss for me :) Hurray!
error.000webhost.com Malware Detected
Today we were experiencing some problems with the crazzycool blog. When we open our blog on Google chrome it comes up with a malware warning. It is due to error.000webhost.com and 000webhost is a free web hosting service and for some reason it has been added to malware list and all the site that are hosted with it or linking to it will face this problem.
Crazzycool is not hosted on 000webhost but it might be linking to a site that is hosted in there. Currently we are investigating on that but so far this warning it base on the 000webhosting and 000webhosting admins are working to resolve that problem.
We will update as we found more information.

A tool to see how others view your website
Do you maintain a website and you know where exactly you places the Donate button, Register now button and even Google AdSense ads. These are couple of things you would love when your visitors click on them. Don't you? Then find out whether your visitors notice what you want them to notice.
Google has come up with a simple webpage to show what and how others are viewing your website. If you get considerable number of visitors and still they do not do what you want them to do then you better test your website using Google Browser Size.
I am sure now you need to do some changes to your layout. I will leave it to you and share how you improve your website.

Monetize Blogger Blog with Amazon
Google and Amazon has join together to help you monetize your blogger blog. If you are looking to make money out of your blog or if you are already using Amazon this is going to be a good news.
It is so simple to setup and if you have already visited the Monetize page you might have noticed that there is an extra tab "Amazon Associates". Click on that and provide your Amazon Associates ID and enable the Amazon Product Finder for the Blogger Editor. Done.
Next time when you cone to create new post or edit a post you will notice Amazon Associates window next to your blog note pad. That will allow you to search products in Amazon and link it to your post straight away. Is this what you looking for?
Couple of other changes I have notices while enabling Amazon Associate. When you enable this blogger editor will automatically update to latest version. Amazon Associate will not work on the old editor.

One button to merge all duplicate GMail contacts
GMail started with adding all the emails address to your contact list as you sent an email. Now it has improved a lot as it is bit more intelligent than before. Latest GMail feature introduce one button to merger all duplicate contacts.
This is what GMail blog recommend you
"You've been able to merge contacts one-by-one for a while, but now we've added a single button that merges all your duplicate contacts at once. To clean up your contact list in one fell swoop, just click the "Find duplicates" button in the contact manager, review the merge suggestions (and uncheck any suggestions you don't want merged), and hit the "Merge" button."

How to add FTP Account in Windows Server 2008
It is not easy to add FTP account in Windows 2008 as it required little bit of configuration couple of installation and on top of that I came cross couple of error messages that took couple of hours to find a way to fix it. If you are configuring a FTP in Windows 2008 for the first time (just like me) this might be really helpful.
Before we start I should mention that I am not going to repeat the great step by step guides I already found really useful. But I will mention all the necessary steps and hacks to get it done.
Uninstall the FTP service that is shipped on the Windows Server 2008(Uninstall Old version of FTP)
Go to Server Manager > Roles
Check the following Roles are installed
FTP Publishing Service
FTP Server
FTP Management Console
If it is installed then Remove Role Services.
Restart the Server to apply the changes.
(Without uninstalling the above FTP services it will not allow you to install FTP Service 7.5)
Download the appropriate version of the
Download Microsoft FTP Service 7.5 for IIS 7.0 (x86)
Download Microsoft FTP Service 7.5 for IIS 7.0 (x64)
Install FTP Service 7.5
Installation Errors
E1. Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service may not be running. COM+ Catalog creation failed with error 0X80070422
There are couple of things you might have to try to get around with this error.
1. Check the Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service is running or not
Go to Server Manager > Configurations > Services >
If the service is not running
Double click on the Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service and change the start up type to Automatic (Delayed) and then click on Start.
2. Then Some suggest to start the System Event Notification Service and restart the server.
3. If every thing failed try install FTP7.5 without Manage code support in the FTP service 7.5 for IIS 7.0 Setup Wizard.

That should fix the problem. Then after restarting the server you should be able to see new FTP features in IIS7.0 Manager.

GMail Mark unread from here
How to mark unread only the messages you want in Gmail?
This new lab feature will show you how to do it.
There's a new feature in Gmail Labs that will help with this. When you enable Mark Unread From Here from the Labs tab under Settings, you'll see a new "Mark unread from here" option in the drop down menu found in the upper right-hand corner of messages.
Clicking this option on a message tells Gmail that you want that message to be the first one you see when you reopen the thread later, with all messages after it open for easy reading. So, when you leave partway through reading a long thread, figuring out where to start reading again is easy.

Google Chrome's Pin Tab Feature
If you are use Google Chrome then this feature might be somewhat useful to Pin A tab so it occupies very little space in the tab bar. I personally find it useful - For Firefox users there is a Plugin out there which achieves similar effect.
In chrome, right click on the tab and click on Pin Tab. No plugin required on chrome for this feature

Speed up your Old Computer
Is your old computer runs too slow? And the best answer you got so far is to buy a new computer then I will show you couple ways to get your old computer run fast.
1. Start Loving Windows XP
Use Windows XP and do not try to upgrade to vista or Windows 7 as they require more resources ans your old computer might not able to handle it. With windows XP you can do pretty much every thing and most of the softwares are compatible.
2. Adjust Visual Effects for the best performance
Go to Control Panel > Click System icon > Go to Advanced tab > click Settings button (Performance) > Go to Visual Effect Tab> Check Adjust for best performance check box > Click Ok button and then click Apply button.
3. Increase the Virtual Memory
Go to Control Panel > Click System icon > Go to Advanced tab > click Settings button (Performance) > Go to Visual Effect Tab > Go to Advances Tab >
Click Change button (Virtual Memory) > Check Custom Size check box > Provide really higher value compare to Recommended size. Then it will pop up message with the maximum value you can use. > Click Ok Button > Click Ok Button > Click Apply Button
Need to restart to apply the changes.
4. Clean temporary files regularly.
I use CClearner to clean all the unwanted files that are created and slow down you computer. CCleaner is free and simple software that detect all the junk in your computer and delete them to free up the space as well and speed up the computer. It also fix registry errors as well. Follow this regularly (Once a month) to keep you computer smooth.
5. Disk Defragmenter can help you
It is another good practice to use disk defragmenter to organize the data in your hard drive.
Click Start button > Go to All Programs > Go to Accessories > Go to system Tools > Click Disk Defragmenter > Click the hard disk if you have multiple > Click Defragment button.
6. Keep you hard drive space
It is good to keep some space in your hard drive as it is been used for the virtual memory and helps you keep your computer running fast. If you have small hard drive then it is good to have a external hard drive to store all your big files ( movies, mp3, images).
If it is a small hard drive I will not recommend to partition it as the system partition will be really small and it will slow down the computer dramatically.
7. Disable Error Reporting
Go to Control Panel > Click System icon > Go to Advanced tab > Click Error Reporting button > Check Disable error reporting check box > Check But notify me when critical errors occur. > Click OK button > Click Ok Button.
8. Uninstall all the softwares not in use
It is always good to uninstall all the softwares that you do not use. It will free up the disk space as well as virtual memory. Also remember not to install all sort of programs you come cross as well.
9. Run limited number of programs
Running multiple programs at the same time will slow down the computer as it dose not have much resources to support. Specially if you run heavy application such as Windows Media Player or some thing then it will be bit hard to run couple of other programs simultaneously.
10.Be Generous
You know that your computer dose not have much power so do not expect it to do things fast. If it takes couple of extra seconds to open a window do not try to click again or open it again. It will make things worst. Give it some times or you can use CTR + Shift + Esc (CTR + ALT + Del ) to open the Windows Task bar to see what programs are taking more resources and close them if you are not using them.

Quick YouTube Hack
Many do the same mistake that I did in YouTube. I found out that there are many interesting videos that you will not find out using a general search query.
I have uploaded a video to YouTube straight from my handy cam. You know it is quite easy and easily you will forget to rename. So it dose not describe what the video is about. So it will never pick up for a normal search.
Try search "" VTS_01_1.VOB"" and you will find so many unseen videos. You will never know what you will find out. You can also try VTS_01_2.VOB and VTS_02_1.VOB or any such combinations.

New in GMail Labs: Default text styling
Do you have a favorite text style that you would like to send emails? And Sick of changing it to your favorite style all the time? Now in GMail you can default it to a specific text style for all the messages.
If you like to use a specific text style for your messages, you've had to change the font every time you're about to start typing out an email. Now, you can turn on default text styling from the Labs tab, then go to Settings and set your preferences just once.
In future I would like to see this in the signature as well.
