Why Worry about Formating your Hard Drive

When most people have problems with their computer they are worried about loosing data and other important files. But most of the files and programs you have are no longer used and uninstalling and removing them can be a painful task. Sometimes it is better to just format your computer and forget about most of the things you have stored on it. A fresh install is sometimes the best way to get your computer running like new again but what about your files well you could place all your important stuff on a USB pen drive or a portable hard drive or , But you could also use online storage. If you have a Google Account you have 7519MB of Storage in your Gmail or Google Apps account. Then also you have another 25 Gigs of storage with Windows sky drive giving you enough storage space online to save all your important files.

What about your Bookmarks and Passwords

If you are worried about loosing all those saved bookmarks and passwords you just need to firstly if you have not got it installed install Google Chrome and import your bookmarks from your default browser. Next you will need to set up sync in the options menu in Google Chrome. To be more secure about saving all your passwords you could try installing a password manager like LastPass or Keypass in from the Google Chrome extensions gallery. This will be explained later in the article.

Now format your Hard Drive

When you have saved your important data, bookmarks and extensions you are now prepared to format your hard drive without any worries.

Reinstall your Operating System

Now Reinstall your OS of Choice then Download Google Chrome and Go to The Extensions Gallery and Install the Password manager of your Choice again. Now all your Passwords are Back on your Computer. Then Set up Sync in the Google Chrome and your Bookmarks are now Imported making your Computer Allmost like it was except for all the problems.

The Final Step Get your Files Back

Because your Email Address has all your Files Stored in the Cloud you just need to login to your Email Account/s and Download your Files Again. You do not have to worry about forgeting your email passwords because your Browser imported all your saved passwords. If you do not trust a password manager you could always use another method which is saving your passwords as text  and printing your passwords.
