iPhone 4 Glass Breaks, Cracks More Than iPhone 3GS

iPhone 4G is like Microsoft Vista, never had a break. Even though Apple try to give the best mobile experience to its customers through iPhone 4G major issues are reported time to time.

1. Deathgrip antenna issues
2. Wifi connectivity problems
3. Scratched surfaces
4. Cracked screens

According to the iPhone glass study and analyzed by SquareTrade, iPhone accidents for over 20,000 iPhone 4s covered by SquareTrade Care Plans and found a 82% increase in reported broken screens compared to the iPhone 3gs.

Apple point of view this is not the ideal time for such a report as Microsoft come up with its Windows Mobile 7 phones to fight against the Apple iPhone and Android phones are doing well in the market.

Highlights of the study include:

  • iPhone 4 owners reported 82% more damaged screens in the first 4 months compared to iPhone 3gs owners.
  • Overall, the reported accident rate for iPhone 4s was 68% higher than for the iPhone 3gs.
  • An estimated 15.5% of iPhone 4 owners will have an accident within a year of buying their phone.

I think Apple need to address these issue in iPhone 4GS. You should not forget that phone come with user friendly interface and it rarely crash and there are thousands of cool features. Apple should not loose the quality of the product because of the competition.
