IE9 ThunderBolt pre-sales and New video start-up for Google

ThunderBolt pre-sales was able to break Wirefly online order record and 2.35 million IE9 downloads were recorded within the first 24 hours. Internet giant Google has acquired video start up Green Parrot Pictures to help improve the quality of videos loaded onto YouTube.


Online retailer Wirefly said Wednesday its first day of pre-sales of the HTC ThunderBolt smartphone were 400% higher than any other cell phone pre-sale in the company's eight-year history. [Computerworld] The HTC ThunderBolt smartphone will run on Verizon's faster LTE network. Wirefly pre-sale for $199.99, which is the lowest comparing to bestbuy.

Google acquires video start-up

Internet giant Google has acquired video start up Green Parrot Pictures to help improve the quality of videos loaded onto YouTube.
In a blog post, the company said it will be using the team within the company to improve not only every day videos, but also videos from significant events such as the recent protests in Libya and Egypt.

IE9 Downloaded 2.35 Million Times in First 24 hours

Microsoft's new Web browser, Internet Explorer 9, was downloaded over 2 million times since its release on Monday evening, according to a blog post on the Exploring IE Blog. You need to have Windows 7 or Windows Vista to install IE9. Here is the download link for IE9.
