Nokia Lumia 610 Vs Lumia 800

Nokia has announced its Lumia 610, newest Windows smart phone, at the Mobile World congress 2012. It is suppose to be released in the second quarter of year 2012. However, we already know basic technical features of Lumia 610. This is a simple comparison of Lumia 610 vs Lumia 800, first Nokia phone to run Windows Phone Operating System.
Lumia 610 has a curvy design, where Lumia 800 has a square shaped similar to Nokia N9. Both phone has 3.7 inch multi touch enabled display with 480x800 screen resolution. Also, these stylish smart phones are powered by Windows Phone 7.5 mobile operating system. They are equipped with proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, three-axis gyro and accelerometer.

Every smart phone manufactures goal is to release new and expensive smart phones. But Nokia took a different path and released less expensive version of Lumia 910, 800 and 710.Therefore, Lumia 610 has limited features comparing to other Lumia phones. It has a 5 mp camera with a flash light comparing to the 8 mp camera of Lumia 800. Also, it has a less powerful battery, but has a good standby time as there is less background processors involve. Lumia 610 has an 800MHz Qualcomm processor with 8GB storage and 256MB RAM. On the other hand Lumia 800 is powered by 1.4GHz processor with 16GB storage and 512MB RAM. Lumia 610 has disabled the background tasks due to limited memory and also it will have problems running certain application. Do not forget that it is mainly design to be a cheap and nasty smart phone.
Nokia partnered with Microsoft and released the Lumia phone series to compete with smart phone giants Android and Apple. Lumia 610 is another small step to provide a decent low budget smart phone to the market. We can expect it on shelves in second quarter and see how the reaction of smart phone users.
