How to Change My Document Path
1. Creat a new Folder. You can give any name you want in any location. Apply security settings if needed.
2. Right Click MyDocument Folder
3. Go to Properties
4. Click "Move" and Select the new location.
5. If you have old file Select Move with the current files. Otherwise you may loose your files in the my document folder.
How to Move Desktop to a Different Place
This need bit of registry changes. You need to be careful when you play with registry. If you back up the registry and leave it in a safe place if anything goes wrong you can restore the backup.
1. Open Run (Start > Run ) then type "regedit" to open the regedit.
2. Go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorere\User Shell Folder
You can select each folder and change the path as you wish. It will creat the folders if it doesnt excist.
You need to log in from the user account to do these changes. You might need administrative rights as well. You can move back to different user account type after the changes.
