[GMail Hack] Use GMail Canned Responses and Save Time

Do you have to send the same email to many people with slight changes? I am sure most of you will answer YES to this question. Specially if you have to reply to online enquiries, send regular updates or reports over and over you might be wasting lot of time typing the same email. Also, you may be using email templates  GMail Canned responses can save lot of time.

You can save 5-10 minutes per email.

Gmail Canned responses is still in GMail labs, therefore first you need to enable it.

How to enable GMail Canned responses? 

1. Sign in to your GMail account and click on Settings
   
   
   
2. Click on Labs
   
   
3. Search for  "Canned Responses" in your browser
4. Enable Gmail Canned responses
   
   
5. Scroll down and click Save Changes button

How to save email templates to GMail Canned responses?

Now you are ready to save your email templates to GMail. Go to compose email in GMail. Copy and paste your email template or write it with the subject line. You can also select the recipients. Under the subject text box you will see Canned responses link and you can save it by just clicking the link. 

How to use the saved email templates in GMail Canned responses?

Once you saved  your email templates you can click on Canned responses and select the template you want. Remember to change fields if necessary before sending it. Normally I would your 'xxxx' or something generic for the
