Can iWatch iPhone mini and iPhone 5S beat the competition?

Three possible Apple products waiting to to be released to the market in year 2013 are iWatch (iOS powered watch), iPhone mini and iPhone 5S. At this point Apple is loosing its ground to it's competition. Will these products help them to recover?

iWatch

There are rumors that Apple is working on a smart watch that can perform smartphone functions. However, this is not going to be a exciting news as there are similar products out their in the market that can link to your smart phone. According to walls street journal it can be a part of broader movement to essentially dissolve technology into the background.

iPhone Mini

Low cost iPhone is a good idea to target the larger potion of the mobile users who cannot afford expensive devices. However, the brand name Apple is exclusive. That is the main reason why most of us wanted to have a Apple device. According to a report released by Topeka Capital analyst Brian White iPhone mini will  cost around $300. It will be in white and black colour and release early June.

iPhone 5S

Leaked iPhone 5S pictures suggest that it has smaller 1150 mAh battery SD card slot and has a different vibrating motor. If this is iPhone 5S, next generation iPhone then it seems like Apple is going back to their competitors level. SD card slots is something that Apple did not want to have in their devices.

Is this enough to beat the competition and satisfy the loyal Apple fans?

Samsung transparent OLED screen and flexible OLED display

It seems like we are getting so closed to the day that science fictions are becoming reality. Samsung introduced the flexible OLED display and transparent OLED display, which can be used in many different ways.

According to senior vice president of Samsung Brain Berkeley, YOUM technology can rewrite the display technology. Display is quite flexible, thin and high resolution. Some of the products we can design using this not limited blended fordable display for tablets and  smartphones. It can replace the paper easily. You can easily have digital papers, digital posters and etc.

Can we see flexible OLED in Samsung galaxy S4 or Samsung Galaxy S5?

How about a transparent OLED screen? I know more than anything it is fancy and sounds like watching a science fiction. Imagine replace your window glasses with this transparent OLED displays. And even car windscreens can be replaced with this and you see extra information can go on the windscreen. Even tomorrows windows shoppong will be interesting for sure.

Amazing. That is the beauty of tech world. It never ends.

Send and Sync SMS from your PC using Android Phone

I was traveling and did not add roaming to my phone contract as it is waste of money. Then I was going to transfer money online and bank is sending the authentication to my mobile. Now there is no way to access new SMS from the bank. I was looking for the solution to syn my SMS to web application. I know there are million solutions out there to send text messages online. This is the closest solution I was able to find.

Mightytext able to syn your text messages from your Android phone with their web application. It also allow you to send text messages from the web application and they also get synced with your phone. It sounds promising but there is a small problem. When the phone is switch off or not connected to the network you cannot send SMS or it does not sync. Then how can you use Mightytext to send and receive SMS when you are traveling overseas. Simplest way to overcome this issue is to leave the phone on and connected to power
and leave it at home. Now you can access your new SMS and send messages. Also, make sure you sync all your contacts with another phone or use another Android phone for this task.

How to Setup Mightytext

  • Search Google Play Store for Mightytext
  • Install Mightytext Android application on your smartphone.
  • Authentication for the app will be based on your Google account.
  • It will provide a URL to access your messages online. Make sure you sign in to Google Account as well.
Now you can send receive and syn all the messages from website.

There is anther feature that allow you to make calls from website. But without your phone nearby I cannot see any point in this feature as you cannot take the phone call without a physical phone.

I found this application really useful and I would like to here your thought about this. If you know any other application that will do the same do not hesitate to leave a comment below.

HTC One X Vs iPhone 5

If Someone ask me today, what would be the best smartphone base on its features, I would say HTC One X. It is is rich in features such as powerful processor, stunning camera and video recorder with dedicated imaging chip, reasonable inbuilt memory and ram and many more power features. Tomorrow, I might have to change my answer to fifth generation iPhone (iPhone 5). Still we don't have reliable information about the iPhone 5 specifications. For sure it is going to be better than iPhone 4G and it should give a good competition to HTC One X.

HTC One X has a 1.5 GHz Quad-core processor, 4.7 inch HD display (1280 x 720 resolution),32 GB storage, 1 GB RAM, dedicated imaging chip, 8 megapixel camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, 1080p HD video recording and super sound quality with Beats Audio™. Capture video and pictures at the same time and Continuous shooting photos are couple of features that revolutionized the smartphone camera. On the other hand, iPhone 4S has a 1 GHz dual Core A5 processor, 3.5 inch (960x640 Resolution), 16, 32 and 64 GB storage options, 8 megapixel camera and Siri beta. Comparatively HTC One X is way ahead of Apple iPhone 4S. What should be key improvements Apple should make to its fifth generation iPhone.

Hopefully, Apple iPhone 5 will have A6 processor and it will be 1.5GHz or higher quad-core processor. Some say it is going to be A5X chip but that wont be enough to compete with other smart phones. Rumors are all over the internet that it will have 4 inch curved glass screen. South Korean media outlet says Apple is ordering for a 4.6-inch Retina Display. Anyway it needs a larger screen for sure. Apple iPhone 4S already has a 8 MP camera, so, we can expect to have a better camera this time. May be 10 mp or 12 mp camera. What you think? Also, there is a possibility that iPhone 5 may have 1 GB RAM. Siri won't be a selling point any more. However, that need to be released from beta for sure. Another feature that every iPhone lover would like to see and rumored around is digital wallet - NFC facility with iPhone 5. Google Android phone is already tried out that facility. And liquid metal casing for iPhone 5? It will be plus as it will give you a durable, light weight, scratch proof phone.

There is a great chance that we will be able to see the iPhone 5 (fifth generation iPhone) in October and it will be a tribute to Steve Jobs.

How to Control your Computer from Bed using your mobile.

Week end is the ideal time to spend some extra hours on the bed for most of us. If you keep your computer in front of the bed and like to watch a movie or Youtube videos without you have to jumping out of the bed, this post will help you.

You can simply turn your Smart phone (Android phone, Apple iPhone or iPad) in to a wireless mouse and keyboard using this simple Application. You will require a Smartphone (which most of us have) and WI-FI internet connection where you can connect your mobile and the computer.

1. First Download the Desktop Remote Free on your Android device.
2. Then you need to install the desktop software which you can find from here.
3. Start the Desktop Remote Free Application and it will auto detect your computer as the server.
4. Now you can control the desktop from your mouse.

Make sure you connect both mobile and the desktop to the same WI-FI connection. Also, free version would not show the desktop in your mobile.

For your iPhone and iPad you can use JumiMouse Desktop/Mouse/Remote for PC or JumiOne Desktop/Keyboard/Mouse, Remote Webcam and media remote for PC.

Enjoy the simple week end hack with Android and iPhone app hack.

Samsung Omnia II - Smartphone with Windows OS

Android and Apple OSX is the most popular and advanced smart phone operation systems. Microsoft is trying their best to get into the smart phone world with their new Windows Mobile Operating system and their hardware partners. Samsung Omnia II is one such successful attempt.

The Samsung Omnia II, lets you view and edit office documents on your phone. Microsoft office is the widely used document format in businesses as well as your general life. Windows mobile OS would be the most compatible platform for office documents when you are on the move. Making it a good business phone as it also allows mobile printing unlike it’s sister phone the Omnia 7.Windows OS for Mobile or better know as Windows Mobile may not be the most cost effective mobile device selection but could well save money as your employees will be able to use software that you have already paid for remotely. Think about how much time they could save not having to boot up a computer to proofread or spell check a document. Maybe they are away to lunch or at a meeting and accessing their computer is not possible.

Will Nexus One be the Killer Phone

Google is planning to release it killer smart phone on Tuesday (05/01/2010). Is it smart enough to kill the Apples iPhone which is quite popular among the smart phone users?

From the information going around the web it is clear that Google has add more features to Nexus One than the iPhone. Following is the list of features that you can find in Nexus One.

  • Touch screen is larger than the iPhone - 3.7-inch (9.4- centimeter) screen
  • Scroll Wheel
  • Not tied to any one telecom carrier just like iPhone tied to AT&Tin USA
  • "unlocked"
  • 5-megapixel camera
  • Qualcomm Inc.’s Snapdragon processor
  • Search the Web on it by speaking query terms.
  • Use Android Operating system

And on top of it's features there are positive consumer interest. I am sure Google is targeting the smart phone market more aggressively with the Nexus One. Their Main competitor will be Apple iPhone.
