Error: "C_1252.nls File Missing or Corrupt" During Startup

Great computer does not boot up. It keeps on booting up again and again. I tried to boot up in safe-mod. No luck at all it get stuck on half way through. Then I stop restarting the machine and disable restarting machine in a serious crash. Then I restart it again it stuck in black screen and took five six minute to show up error message.

The file D:\windows\system32\c_1252.nls is missing or corrupt

When I was a kid only solution was to format and reinstall a fresh copy of windows. But now what I understood is you can retrieve windows from any kind of crash.
Search for Google and Google direct to Microsoft. Microsoft support gives these following options to solve this problem.

Method 1: Check the Hard Disk for Errors

1. Insert the Windows XP CD, and then restart the computer. If you are prompted, select any options that you must select to start Windows XP from the CD.
2. When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. To select the repair or the recover option, press R.
3. If you have a dual-start or multiple-start computer, select the installation that you must access from the Recovery Console.
4. When prompted, type the Administrator password.
5. At the command prompt, type the following command and then press the ENTER key:
chkdsk /r
6. To exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer, type exit, and then press the ENTER key.

Method 2: Replace Missing Files

1. Insert the Windows XP CD, and then restart the computer. If you are prompted, select any options that you must select to start Windows XP from the CD.
2. When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. To select the repair or the recover option, press R.
3. If you have a dual-start or multiple-start computer, select the installation that you must access from the Recovery Console.
4. When prompted, type the Administrator password.
5. At the command prompt, type the following commands ( press ENTER after each command):
cd system32
ren c_1252.nls c_1252.old
expand drive:\i386\c_1252.nl_ c:\windows\system32
Where drive is the drive letter of the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
6. To exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer, type exit, and then press the ENTER key.
Note There may be additional files missing. Repeat this method to replace any other missing files.

Always things will not work as it appears in the help pages, because our environment might be bit different to the environment they describe. I manage to complete the first option successfully but it took more than half an hour. But it not fixes the problem.

I had to move to the second option. I type the exact commands as it asks me to type. I keep on getting the error message “Access denied” every time I perform the following code.
expand drive:\i386\c_1252.nl_ c:\windows\system32

That’s all because I have another windows installation in C: drive but originally I have logged in to another Windows Installation. Remember to change the command to suite the correct installation.
If you miss any other nls files you can follow the Method 2 for each file.

Ophcrack Vista LiveCD (ophcrack-vista-livecd-2.01.iso) is the one you should download if you are trying to hack into windows vista computer.

They have release the ophcrack 3.0.1 and ophcrack LiveCD 3.0.1 is released. It can be used for Mac OS X as well according to Ophcrack news release. However, still I could not find any download link for ophcrack 3.0.1.

Next time you can hack into your computer in any case you forgot your password or someone else change your password. I don’t want to tell you can hack into someone’s computer as well. But just do it for fun don’t miss use it.

Cannot Reply to Emails in Microsoft Outlook.

In the previous post I was giving some tips to solve if you having problems with replying or forwarding someone’s email using Microsoft outlook 2003. I have notices that there is another setting that will cause closing your Outlook when you try to reply or forward some emails.

Reason

If you disable “Use Microsoft Word 2003 to Edit e-mail messages” by any chance and if you received an email from Outlook which enables this feature you will not able to forward or reply to this email. It will generate a runtime error. Either it will request you to report it to Microsoft or if you have disable this feature outlook will close without any error or warning.

Solution

Disable “Use Microsoft Word 2003 to Edit e-mail messages”. In that way you prevent someone else who is not using this feature in Outlook crashing his/her outlook when he/she try to forward or reply to your email.

If you are facing this error you can simply check whether you disable “Use Microsoft Word 2003 to Edit e-mail messages” and enable it temporary. Then you can request sender to disable this feature if you are in a position to do so.

Cannot Reply to Emails in Outlook 2003.

I have come cross problem that people cannot reply to my emails that has attachments. It doesn’t happen with all the recipients. After bit or research it happened not because of my settings but with their settings.

How to solve cannot reply to emails with attachments in outlook 2003.

If you have a problem replying or forwarding email that you received in your outlook 2003 you might able to solve it by uncheck the “close original message on reply or forward” which you can find in

(Select)Tools > (Select) Options > Preferences (Tab) > (Click) Email Options (Button).

Then uncheck “close original message on reply or forward” checkbox if it is checked. This should solve your problem.

How to: Remove Trojan.Pakes

Trojan.Pakes is one of the latest viruses out break recently. This is how to remove Trojan.Pakes.

1. Start PC in Safe mode.
2. Delete Registry Entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Microsoft Office

if you cannot find it in this location search for "msoff" and "Trojan.Pakes" in registry and it will give you the results that matches. This is really important as if you have more than one users it might affected on them.

3. Delete file 'msoff.exe'
4. Scan your PC in safe Mode with a free antivirus program. I would recomend AVG free antivirus. Also, you can down load Norton trail version.

CrazzyCool: Hack MSN, Hack Yahoo Email Accounts

When you Google “How to hack msn messenger”, “How to hack yahoo email account” or “How to hack msn” it comes up with hell lot of results which seems to be really easy task.

I don’t say it is impossible to hack someone’s msn account or yahoo account or any other email account. It is not that hard as well. However, do not trust all the results which comes in Google or any other search result; because 99% of them will hack your own email account or it will install some back doors, Trojans or Any other unwanted programs in to your machine.

This is a method that MSN Staff use to retrieve lost passwords when they needed. It is really simple you just need to send email to the following address in exact format. Format they ask is Email Subject “Retrieve Password” and then in the email body first line should be your email address. Second line should be your password and then leave a blank line and then email address you want to hack. How easy it that. They promise that it will send the password to your email address. I don’t think MSN staff is that stupid to do such retrieval method. Final result would be who ever post that would get your email address and password. If you have already done something like that please change your password and secret question as soon as possible.

Second common thing is they give out small software that you can download. I even feel like down load it and try it on one of my friends email address. I can hack in to his msn messenger and see what he/she is been doing. How cool is that. Again there is a but. Most probably those software that pretend to be hacking tools are embedded with viruses Trojans or Backdoors. I don’t say all these hacking tools are like that. But download them in to a cheap and nasty computer that you don’t use for your private work. Use it only for testing. Otherwise by trying to hack someone else email account you probably end up been hacked or been traced or infected with viruses.

So think twice before you follow any of these methods. Hacking someone else yahoo account or msn account is fun. But do not take the easy way.

How to Hack Windows XP or Hack Windows Vista

First of all I must say this is not a good topic to talk about. However, sometimes hack into your Windows XP or Windows Vista account is unavoidable. One of my friend gave a laptop that is password protected and no one remember the password. Only option left is to hack windows vista account. I do not want to format and install windows XP.

I am not a hacker. So how do I retrieve the windows Vista Password? There are couples of things you can try on widows XP.

Boot the machine in safemood and try to log in to Windows XP Administrator account. Most of the time user will forget to enter an Administrator password in the time of installing Windows XP.

Vista has avoided this mistake by disabling the Administrator account by default. You just have to log in to user account which has Administrator privileges to enable Computer Administrator account and type this command in the command prompt. Or open the Command prompt as Administrator (This can be done by right click on the cmd shortcut and select “Run As Administrator”

Net user administrator mypassword
Net user administrator /active:yes

Without knowing any of the passwords to the Windows user accounts this will not work. I tried to boot the machine using boot up CD to command prompt and enable windows vista administrator account. But it failed.

There are couple of methods to decrypt the SAM file which is been used to store the windows passwords. But I have not able to do this successfully.

Windows Vista you need to create a password recovery CD or USB in any case you forgot your password. Unfortunately recovery CD or the USB has not been created for this machine.

The method that worked for me to crack windows vista password is to boot up the machine in another operating system like SLAX. Then run a brute force attack on the user accounts. You don’t need to know much about programming and hacking to do this. There are many programs out in the web you can download and burn it to a CD and use it. I will talk more about Brute force programs that can be used to crack Windows Vista or Windows XP password in my later posts.

You should not use these programs to hack in to people computers. But it will be really useful if you forgot your Windows XP or Windows Vista Password. If someone change your Windows password.
