Surprise! Surprise! Gmail team sent me an email to verify my user name and password. They are moving the databases and I about to loose my email id. In order to save it I need to go to the link they provided and put my username and password. Don't! Someone is trying to hack my GMail my password. First check the senders email address

In Gmail you need to click on show details link to see the senders email address. In this case email address is "mailserver.team1@gmail.com" which sounds like Gmail team is sending the email.
I have already covered some basic ways that Outlook can be used to disguise your email address. So, you cannot depend on the senders email address all the time.

Then go to the content. In this scenario, they have provide me a link to click on and put my user name and password. Don't click the link but you can check the link by just moving the mouse pointer to the link. Almost all the browsers display the link at the bottom of your browser.
Or you can right click and copy the link and paste it in note pad(It is Safe).

Bingo!!!

Link is not going to Gmail but mailserver.my3gb.com which is a free website hosting company. Why Google has to use a free web hosting company. I will not bother to visit the link. I will delete the email and also remove it from the archive box.

Always remember to check couple of times if an email ask you to provide bank details or user name and passwords.

Scientists hack into cars

Scientists at the University of Washington and the University of San Diego devised a program called CarShark to hack into cars' onboard computers.

Hacking a car's wireless systems is not that hard.

The wireless hacking was done by taking advantage of the sensors inside each tire that broadcast a brief radio signal every 60 to 90 seconds. The signal tells one of the car's computer systems the pressure of each. But researchers found that even those weak signals could be intercepted up to 120 feet away and hacked from a roadside location – or by a car in traffic.

Next time when you are driving the numbers showing up in your car dash board might be wrong. I am sure car companies will try their best to patch this security hole. One top of road safety now they have to think about the security of their computer system.

Yesterday I could not let my blogger blogs to handle Spam Comments. I needed to manually go through every comment and decide whether it is a spam comment or not. Today I can see the new feature to filter them. At least it will help me on some extend. Update Comments area allows you to manage your comment like you manage email in GMail. It will show all the comment published, Awaiting Moderation, Spam. It is not too late to mark any comment as spam.

How to hack registry to install LNK updates for XP SP2

You can do lot by changing the Windows Registry. This is another hack that allows to install crucial security updates to Windows XP SP2 after Microsoft discontinued support. F-Secure has come up with a registry hack base on the hack provided for the Grand Theft Auto IV. Simply the hack allows you to install the game on SP2 even though it requires SP3. They used the same changes to install the security updates and confirm that it is working perfectly.
